A Season is a poem about watching someone you love change before your eyes—and realizing only afterward how much you were already saying goodbye. Told through Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring, it follows the final seasons of my father’s life: from ordinary morning coffees and familiar pain to hospital rooms, a cancer diagnosis, and the unbearable moment when love became grief.

Some memories arrive as moments. Others return as seasons.
